Settings are split by who they affect. Profile and Account & Privacy are about you. Sanctuary is about the community you're currently looking at. Notifications straddle the line. Ecosystem only appears for admins of Hub Sanctuaries.
Profile
Personal: display name, photo, skills, dietary needs, telegram handle (optional). Everything here is visible to other members of any Sanctuary you share. Changing your name here changes it everywhere.
The skills field is what feeds the Mycelium directory. Add at least three. Mix professional ("accounting", "Spanish") with practical ("chainsaw", "fermentation").
Sanctuary
Per-Sanctuary. Some controls are admin-only (greyed out for villagers):
- Sanctuary name, description, photo — admin only
- Hourly rate — admin only; affects the Ledger
- Villager Management (member roster, invite link, remove members) — admin only
- Plan & billing — owner only; opens the Stripe portal
- Data sovereignty — admin only; CSV exports for Seeds, Inventory, Ledger
- Leave Sanctuary — every member; only the owner can't leave their own
Notifications
Per-device. Doesn't affect what other people see. Cadence options:
- Overdue reminders — daily, weekly, never
- Seed updates (when Seeds you guard change)
- Mentions (someone @s you)
- Gathering invites and RSVPs
If you're getting too much, turn overdue to weekly and keep mentions on. That's the calmest combination.
Account & Privacy
The most important screen most people never visit. From here:
- Download My Data — JSON bundle, GDPR Art. 15
- Manage Cookie Preferences — re-opens the consent banner
- Delete account — covered in How to delete your account completely
Ecosystem (Hub admins only)
If you're an admin of a Hub Sanctuary on the Ecosystem plan, a fifth tab appears. From here you connect Nodes, configure shared Resources and Listings, and see network vitality signals.
What you won't find here
Garden-level permissions live inside each Garden, not in Settings. Same for Scroll permissions and Resource custodianship. We keep settings near the thing they affect, not in one giant tab.
Switching Sanctuaries
If you belong to more than one, the dropdown at the top of any Settings page changes which Sanctuary you're configuring. The Profile tab stays the same regardless — that's about you, not them.
